Registration Information

CONFERENCE FEES

Conference registration fees include all conference materials, participation in workshops, lunches, and refreshments during breaks. Full payment should accompany the completed online registration form. Payment can be made via credit card (online, or by phone, fax, or mail), by check, or by wire transfer.

The registration fees are as follows:

  • Early registration: Payment on or before 14 September: 500 EUR
  • Full registration: Payment after 14 September: 600 EUR
  • Early registration for solo practitioners/lawyers working at firms employing fewer than 200 lawyers (in all offices): Payment on or before 14 September: 300 EUR

  • Solo practitioners/lawyers working at firms employing fewer than 200 lawyers (in all offices): Payment after 14 September: 350 EUR

  • NGO/non-profit/academia: 250 EUR
  • *Complimentary registration for donors and sponsors. (PILnet provides a limited number of complimentary registrations for donors/sponsors. *Participants representing donors/sponsoring firms are entitled to complimentary or reduced-price tickets according to sponsorship levels. Please discuss with the appropriate sponsorship contact or pro bono coordinator at your firm to confirm your eligibility and to obtain your registration code; then complete the online registration form here.

Payment and registration must be completed no later than 19 October.

How do I apply for a fee waiver?

The fee rate for NGO/non-profit organizations is already subsidized. However, individuals representing NGOs or non-profit organizations may apply for a fee waiver. Funds and space are limited so please apply for waivers as soon as possible but no later than 7 September using the application for conference waiver form.

PILnet will decide on your request based on the following criteria:

  • Organizational resources;
  • Viability and track record of your organization;
  • Potential for contributing to building up pro bono practice in continental Europe.

If your participation depends on the fee waiver, please do not register yet but submit the required documents and wait for our reply about the decision.

Decisions on fee waivers will be made at the end of September 2012. PILnet will contact each applicant. No inquiries please.

Your registration is confirmed upon our receipt of your completed registration form and full payment.

PAYMENTS

1. CREDIT CARD ONLINE

You may submit secure online payment by credit card after completing the online registration form.

2. CREDIT CARD BY FAX

Upon completing the online registration form, you may submit your credit card details by completing this authorization form and faxing it to Gyöngyvér Papp at: +36 1 461-5701.

3. CREDIT CARD/CHECK BY MAIL

Upon completing the online registration form, you may submit your credit card details by completing this authorization form and mailing it to the address below.

Should you wish to mail a check, please write the name of the conference participant on the check.

WE ONLY ACCEPT CHECKS IN USD

Please use exchange rate of the check-issue date when you exchange the EUR registration fee into USD.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Refund requests must be made in writing to the conference office.

Full refunds will be given for cancellations received on or before 14 September 2012, less a 15% processing charge.

No refunds will be given for cancellations received after 14 September 2012.

All registration materials, including name badges, background materials, and the conference program may be collected from the check-in desk during the times listed above.

LANGUAGE

The working language will be English; some workshops and plenaries will be translated into Spanish as well.
